It is the only Telemark specific clothing line on the market, it has a sick team of pro riders, and they are focused on bringing the public quality outerwear that is made for a freeheel! Step into the world of Fly Low Clothing. FHL cruised by the booth at the Outdoor Retailer Trade show in Salt Lake City to catch up with the guys that are turning heads with killer threads and booty shorts.
This upcoming season they are pushing their new products with all new fabrics and unique designs that take into consideration how freeheel skiers work on the mountain, going up and down. Take for instance the new Dropkick pant, a super super durable looking pant that has a killer ventilation system, abrasion resistant fabric, & added knee protection specific to a dropped knee. Look for a future gear review of this product, as we believe that it is going to be a good seller amongst the growing freeride movement of Telemark skiers.
These guys are coming out of the gate strong with a mission to make serious backcountry gear for serious skiers. When we say Backcountry, don’t think we mean just touring. Fly Low’s vision is to create products that are both functional in terms of temperature changes while hiking but strong and fashionable for the new age rippers. Take a good look at their growing Pro Team which includes such big names as Dylan Crossman, Erin Young & Ebon Mond. People who know what it means to push it!
All of Fly Low’s development is done through their athletes. “We give them the product to beat the Sh*t out of,” said Dan Abrams who believes in using his athletes to expose his products and image. Such a great concept for a young company that is focused on developing the sport of Telemark skiing.
If the OR show was any indication of the excitement behind this brand, we are stoked to see where they will take it. FHL attended the showing of PW05 along with 50 other people from the ski and outdoor industry at the Fly Low booth a few nights ago. They are definitely onto something fresh! Keep an eye out for their future endeavors as they will be focusing on completing their clothing line while integrating “Fashion and Function.”
