In European Freeheel News – the Freeheel Live festival will be taking place in Livignio Italy April 1-7, 2006. This is the largest gathering of Freeheel skiers in the world. It is an amazing festival, so take the chance to attend if you have the means of getting there.
New England Telemark will be hosting an Athlete judged rail jam on Saturday February 4th @ Stowe Mt. in conjunction with the Tele Daze event. This is a great opportunity for all the East Coast Freeheelers to get out and grow the sport! Please spread the word. The contest is free, however you will need to provide your own lift ticket or season pass to get on the mountain. Good luck to everyone that attends!!!
FHL Team Rider Erin Young has become the first girl Freeheel skier to successfully jib a legitimate Urban Rail! While in Salt Lake City, UT filming with Falling Forward Productions, Erin Greased a 15 stair down rail, then she STOMPED it switch off for good measure. We are stoked to be the ones to bring you this historic moment. Congrats Erin! Thanks for pushing the limits, not only for the girls, but for all of us out there.
Colorado Rocky Mountain School Telemark Team members Hayden Kennedy & Dillon Smith placed 1st & 2nd in a local USASA slopestyle competition @ Snowmass Mountain, CO. They were in a group of around 17 other competitors, ALL alpine skiers. You guys shred!
The Black Diamond Anarchist AvaLung Ski Pack and the Fritschi Freeride Plus won the 2006 European Ski Award that is based on innovation, function, quality, technical solution and user-friendly design. Congrats to Black Diamond for creating such Rad products for our use as skiers in the Backcountry!
Pat Colburn, the NET slopestyle champion from 2005 has been shredding the East Coast like nobody’s business and getting ready to shoot with the Meatheads for their film next season.
